Designed for customers building AI clusters comprising of two or more superpods (each with 2,304 GPUs or more), the new Rapid Fiber Connect solution is a rack-scale, plug-and-play platform, purpose-built for ultra-dense AI data centers. It provides a pre-configured, factory-terminated foundation that enables customers to deploy, manage and scale ultra-high density fiber infrastructure with faster deployment, reduced risk, simplified integration, and long-term architectural flexibility.  The platform consists of a Rapid Fiber Connect panel for GPU cabinets, a Rapid Fiber Connect panel for switch cabinets, and a trunk cable to connect panels terminated with Mass Insert connectors.

Rapid Fiber Connect™ plug-and-play connectivity platform: 

The new Rapid Fiber Connect plug-and-play, rack-scale platform from CommScope dramatically simplifies the cabling, testing, deployment and scaling of ultra-dense GPU racks, pods and clusters.  

Flexible panel designs and integrated, pre-configured and pre-labeled output pigtails eliminate much of the manual work and risk involved in off-site cabling and validation. During on site installation, trunk cables with 96-fiber Mass Insert connectors accelerate system turn-up with fewer connections. 

Uniquely designed for speed and simplicity  

The Rapid Fiber Connect platform consists of GPU and switch panels with pre-installed output cabling and trunk cable terminated with Mass Insert connectors.  

Rapid Fiber Connect GPU panel: The front access-only design with 960-fiber capacity is ideal for high-density racks and is optimized for 72 GPU designs.  

Rapid Fiber Connect Switch panel: The front and/or rear access switch panel supports 1,728-fibers and is stackable to achieve ultra-high fiber density.  

Both panel types offer spare ports, connections for Mass Insert connectors and integrated output pigtails. Pigtails and connector legs are pre-configured to match the port locations for the most common AI designs. Legs are pre-labeled and color-coded to reduce off-site prep and cabling time. Once the rack is cabled and validated, the output cables can stay in place for transport, reducing onsite deployment time.  

Trunk cables with Mass Insert connectors: Trunks are available in singlemode and multimode to connect between racks and across pods, and in various lengths and fiber counts to match specific applications. Mass Insert connectors enable connection of 96 fibers with one click. Trunks can be pulled ahead of time, saving even more time, and don’t have to be replaced as part of the next refresh.

Son on yıla baktığımızda veri merkezi soğutma tasarımlarında sessiz ama çok net bir yön değişimine şahit olduk; hatta olmaya da devam ediyoruz.
